As the mother of a child who suffers from eczema, Ioniser pools are the only way to go. The "fresh" water does not aggravate my child's skin and the fact that you don't have to shower after every swim to feel fresh - chemical free is great.

We decided on an Ionised Pool after speaking to friends, even though the pool companies were not for them. But after having the pool and system in now for 3 years we could not be happier. The fresh feel of the water, no yucky chlorine smell and no sticky salt… the kids love it because they don't get sore eyes as they do in their friends salt pool.

After extensive research, I had an ioniser installed last year by AquaVic. Over the last ten years I have outlayed extensive funds on, sometimes unnecessary, chemicals purchased from the local pool shop. The owner obviously disapproved on my decision to install an ioniser.
I am extremely satisfied with the ioniser. The water clarity and quality has improved dramatically; my expenses for pool chemicals have decreased considerably. An extra benefit is provided as we are able to swim in the knowledge that the water is chlorine-free.

I would like to highly recommend John Horwood and his team at AquaVic for the first-class service and friendly manner which has been shown to my wife and I since we first met at an a local exhibition. I introduced him to the challenge of fitting his new electrodes to my vintage Thomas Ioniser.
Since that time we have tackled many (lateral-thinking) projects together and nothing has ever been too much trouble for John and his colleagues. I was particularly grateful when he took over the maintenance of my pool (gratis) when I was recovering from by-pass surgery.

To all considering an ioniser for their pool.
I have a 7.4 x 1.4 metre above-ground pool. It is the first pool that I've ever owned and I'm amazed just how easy it is to maintain. I was introduced to an ioniser by a friend who has had an ioniser for years, and when I enquired at pool shops I was advised against them. I've now got the impression that they either didn't know about ionisers - or simply didn't want me to know!
It was a big decision to select an ioniser over a chlorine-dependant systems, and when I first got the pool, I was concerned that the chemical balance wasn't right - because it was always tested OK. I naturally suspected my test equipment and had a pool shop test the water several times to confirm my results. The water was perfect. Last summer, everyone who used the pool asked why the water didn't smell or cause eye irritation.
I haven't really maintained the pool over winter (no chemicals) and have only run the filter for about 6 hours every two to three weeks - and the pool is crystal clear. My neighbors have green pools in spite of off-season maintenance, and all I've had to do was flick on a switch every now and the.

We can’t recommend more highly the ioniser system recently installed in our spa. After experiencing the high cost of chemically treating our spa — $30 to $40 per month — and then suffering the irritation the water was starting to cause to our skin, it’s the greatest innovation since sliced bread!
A little bi-carb and some oxidiser weekly is all that is required to keep the water perfect. If people started to think more clearly, they would easily reason that the water is less toxic, the running cost are lower, and it feels so much better on your skin. We are telling everybody about your system.
